Questions

Do I need to build a parts catalogue first?

No. You can quote from your labour rate alone. Parts are added per job with a cost and your markup, or a price you type in.

Does it look up vehicles from the registration?

It can, where a provider is connected and authorised. Today manual entry is the default and a DVLA adapter is ready for when a key is issued (DVLA reported new API registrations as closed when we checked in September 2026). Returned fields are always shown for you to confirm, and basic registration data is not a parts-fitment catalogue.

Where do labour times come from?

From you, labelled as a garage estimate, unless a licensed repair-time provider is connected. We never invent a manufacturer time.

Does it order parts?

No. In this version, a quote approval never places a supplier order. Prices are recorded with their status (garage-entered, supplier quote, public, stale).

Does it take payments?

Not in this version. You record payments you have received (cash, card, transfer) against the invoice. Any future card payments would go to your merchant account, not ours.

Is the customer's approval legally binding?

We record who approved what, when, how and against which exact document. Whether that satisfies your terms of business is between you and your customer; we are not a law firm.

Does it give tax advice?

No. VAT status and per-line categories are settings you control. We calculate consistently from them and state the basis on each document.

Does AI diagnose the fault?

No. AI, where used at all, drafts wording and summarises notes from what you have confirmed. It does not diagnose, price, time, decide fitment or authorise work.

Can I use it on my phone?

Yes. It installs as a web app on iPhone and Android. Drafts are kept on-device; anything that needs the server needs a signal.

What about SMS or WhatsApp?

Later. Email is the channel in this version.
